NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK: (October 4, 2024): Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is excited to announce that acclaimed actor, comedian, and activist Tatanka Means will host the 2nd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show, taking place the weekend of November 1 & 2. The two-day event kicks off on Friday, November 1, at 7pm with the "Behind the Seams" exclusive preview experience, followed by the Indigenous Fashion Show on Saturday, November 2, at 6pm.

“We want to shine a spotlight and celebrate the beauty, artistry, and cultural significance of Indigenous fashion and its growing presence in the world of contemporary design,” said Joanne Israel, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino General Manager. “The inaugural Indigenous Fashion Show last year was an incredible success. We expect this year’s show to be even bigger. Ultimately, our goal is for this show to become one of the premier platforms for Indigenous fashion and design in the northeast.”

Tatanka Means is an award-winning actor and stand-up comedian from Chinle, Arizona, representing the Navajo, Oglala Lakota, Yankton Dakota, and Omaha Nations. He appeared in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated film “Killers of the Flower Moon,” starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone, in her critically acclaimed, award-winning performance. Upcoming projects for Means include Kevin Costner’s “Horizon,” the sequel “Wind River: Rising,” and the highly anticipated A24 horror film “Opus.” He will also be featured in the new Netflix series “Ransom Canyon.” In addition to his acting career, Means is a renowned stand-up comedian, performing across Indian Country and bringing laughter and motivational messages to audiences of all ages. He was recently featured in the PBS special “Roots of Comedy” with Jesus Trejo. Means was previously named "Entertainer of the Year" by the National Indian Gaming Association, solidifying his place as a leading figure in Indigenous entertainment.

The 2nd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show will spotlight the exceptional talents of 17 Indigenous designers and 50 models from across North America. The weekend-long celebration will kick off with the Behind the Seams VIP Preview Night on November 1. Guests will enjoy an exclusive preview of the runway show, meet-and-greet opportunities with participating designers and models, and interactive activation booths featuring brands like IT Cosmetics, N8iv Beauty, Cheekbone Beauty, and more. On November 2, the Indigenous Fashion Show will showcase a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary designs, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Indigenous fashion.
